You gotta listen to this loud. Just got back from a concert they opened for, and they made a few fans. It's just two guys playing. One trying his hardest to break the drums and the other playing some solid blues rock with a few lines.

Just buy it & see for yourself. Great vocals & just an all around fantastic album.

Dramatic improvement! Intense!

This band has grown by leaps and bounds from album to album. This is the first of their efforts that I would say is worth paying for. You can hear the pieces that were present on their earlier albums, but it was a cacophony of angry and uncontrolled music before. It really comes together and they really come into their own here. They are clearly matured and have grown in competence. This is what happens when a band with talent grows up.

This album has everything I like and is perfect for any true fan of this genre. The whole album feels like the deep cuts of a bluesy garage band. They remind me of the best of the band Kill It Kid crossed with Lincoln Durham. It's swampy, dirty, raw, sensual and primal. Almost evil and sometimes near tribal. This is exactly my thing. Most of this album can be summed up as "intense." It's so intense that it is actually advisable to listen to the album as a whole so your ear can have the time to acclimate and anticipate their raw sound. The more of their songs you play in a row the better it sounds.

Just a couple areas that this album could have been better. Although I love the raw and real feel to much of the album, there are moments when the production gets a little too tinny and echoey. Every once in a while it stepped too far past the line of what is good about raw music. Another thing that i didn't love was their slow songs. There were two songs that I had to delete because they were just too boring. Don't get me wrong, even those two songs had intgrity, but it's just not what I turn to this band for.

Though there were no perfect 5 star songs, most of the album was in the 3-4 star range. There's five 4 star songs, five 3 star songs, one 2 star song and two throwaways. It's not a perfect album, but I pray that they keep going in this direction.
