Classic meets contemporary...

Vocals are classic style old school metal backed by a nice collection of decent songs. Some of the album gets moody at times and should pick up the pace a bit more but still sounds good. I have nothing at all against clean parts or slow songs. I love sludgy stuff but I just think that this doesn't fall into that category. I really like this and hope that I see more of these guys in the future when they decide to get even heavier. ..

Pleasing to my earholes

Pretty interesting sound! In the vein of Mutiny Within (check them out).

Dissapointing album from a promising band

Communic is a prog metal band with some promising aspirations. Waves of Visual Decay was a powerful album with powerful, technical layers of instrumentation that simply rocked. Sadly, Communic fell short here, as if they were too comfortable. Though there is some nice interplay of drums and guitar (mainly guitar for those of you who like that), Communic took themselves too seriously and didn't do themselves justice, because veteran musicians like themselves could do better. Sadly they haven't yet improved on Waves, and seeing as they've failed to do so twice, I recommend buying Waves and remembering Communic for that masterpiece, and not their most recent attempt. Facing Tommorrow is about the only track here worth a listen, buy it.
