Nothing short of usual

This EP is wonderful. Every song is acoustic which allows Tracy to show off her strong pipes and excellent violin skills. "In My Other Life" is arguably one of her best songs ever written. "Your World Turns Upside Down" is a gorgeous tear-jerker. And the new version of "Navy Bean" gives the song a whole new twist. It's all great.

Best Bonham Yet!

This album is spot on. Raw, vulnerable, and gorgeous. Tracy can change chords in a way that'll break your heart one second and put you on top of the world the next. Beautiful.

Amazing Talent - Refreshing Album

Tracy Bonham certainly seems to know who she is as a person, and she exposes herself (maybe reveals herself would be a better use of the language…) in this incredibly intimate album. When you come along someone who is head-and-shoulders ahead of the pack as a vocalist, a songwriter, and arranger - you wish he or she might, once in a while, take a risk and push the envelope, show you a little of what's going on -on the inside. This is what TB has done with this album and it's amazing. I'm most impressed with Your World Turns Upside Down, which is almost Baroque in its construction and brings a lump to your throat. ‘In my other life’ is an insecure, fantasy/ love-song that showcases that incredible voice without all of the slick production that it usually gets. It's gorgeous. Navy Bean - done live - shows her sense of humor and makes me want to see this woman play live as soon as possible. And Eyes – well, what a song. The rest of the album is full of surprises and remixes of several of her standards - it reinforces her strength as a world class songwriter and performer - someone who stands out from the current pack of Pop drones. Recommendation to ER Nurse: There are plenty of Brittany Spears and Spice Girls albums out there. Go buy one of them. You won’t be challenged by something that isn’t exactly like everything else.

Like Alanis Morissette and Liz Phair, Tracy Bonham made her name during the alternative boom of the mid-‘90s. Unlike those two songwriters, she did so by merging post-grunge with elements of classical music, drawing upon her violin skills in the process. The combination helped push her 1996 debut, The Burdens of Being Upright, to gold sales, and Bonham closed out the year with two Grammy nominations. Although her later albums didn’t fare quite so well, Bonham continued expanding her sound into a...
