Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Listening to this for the first time, it felt like opening a beautiful, brightly wrapped package on Christmas morning. Mr. Williams knows what his fans hope for and he delivers in excess, all the while retaining his originality and genius. Though we haven't had a score like this in some time from this composer, all I can say is that it was worth the wait. Thank you!

One of the Best Scores of the Year So Far...

After the incredibly disappointing Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian score, I was fearing a repeat for the rest of the blockbuster scores, but thankfully, one of very few franchises that never fails to impress comes out with not only one of my most anticpiated films of the year, but also one of the best scores of the year so far. Crystal Skull, just like the previous scores, works familiar territory as those with the Raider's theme and fast-paced strings and brass of Williams. This go around has some different atmospheres yet traveled, such as The Adventures of Mutt, A Whirl Through Academe, and several more. Overall, Crystal Skull, while to many may seem repetitive, is actually full of action cues and grand compositions, one can't help but enjoy. Definitely buy this music.

A worthy Indiana Jones Album

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this album for quite some time and it does not dissapoint! It brings mystery, action, suspense and comedy. There are several moments in the album where John Williams uses pieces from the previous movies. The Jungle Chase in raiders can be heard again, only in a different arrangement. The tank chase from the Last Crusade can also be heard. It brings a sense of familiarity to the score. There's even a small snippet of War of the Worlds in here on track 13. Overall I loved it and it is wonderful to hear some new Indiana Jones material. This will surely be the Last Indiana Jones score so don't miss this opportunity.
