He is the greatest living songwiter

When I listen to It's Only Time I want to get married. And play it at said wedding. With this track it can be stated that Stephin is an amazing vocalist. Listen, it takes time: like all SM records or projects. And that is the beauty in it. Merritt makes recordings to last a lifetime, not just for the week it takes you to write an iTunes review. Don't compare it to 69LS, because nothing does. On it's own, "i" is just hilarious, moving, important. And it will be with you forever. Thanks.

Basically, I'd hate to be the guy this album is written about...

While the Magnetic Fields' albums draw upon the electronic textures of vintage acts like ABBA, Kraftwerk, Roxy Music with Eno, Joy Division, and Gary Numan, Merritt's vision is far more pointed toward the alternative...
