Tracks like “Fame < Infamy” and “Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am?” find the band wrestling with topics like sudden fame and celebrity. Small surprises work to keep things fresh in the band’s familiar emo-pop realm. Any original fans will find solace in the breakneck speed of  “You’re Crashing” and the hint of Bad Religion guitar grandiosity on  “Bang the Doldrums.”

1. Thriller (9.4): One of my favorites on this album. It's a great opening with Jay-Z speaking in the beginning introducing everyone to the album and all of sudden the guitars and drums kick in at once. Very powerful. 2. "The Take Over, The Break's Over" (9.2): This is a very catchy song, I like the guitar in the beginning. The bridge is a cool part with some piano keys and Patrick's vocals. 3. This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race (8.7): After listening to the album, I don't know why FOB chose this as a single. It's chorus is cool but everything else is like R&B? Eh, it's what you get when you ask Babyface to produce. 4. I'm Like A Lawyer With the Way I'm Always Getting You Off (Me & You) (9.2): This song is a bit slower and has a little bit of a country theme to the verse but the chorus is catchy. I just like it, cool song. 5. Hum Hallelujah (8.5): I like the guitars in this song especially at the beginning. It was hard for me to tell the chorus from the verses, and it's not very radio friendly. But the chorus is funny when Patrick sings the "Hallelujah"s like in a choir. 6. Golden (7.9): Why did FOB put a slow piano song on their new album? Makes me wonder if their copying My Chemical Romance's new album with their song "Cancer". The vocals are good in this song though. 7. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs (9.4): I think this should be FOB's next single and because of it's popularity, it probably will be. The song is...mysterious in a sense in the verses. The chorus is just awesome with a spanish themed chorus, NICE. 8. Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? (9.3): This is very fast song. I love the chorus with the line "They say Queens never win". Buy it, it's just a straightforward punk rock song. 9. The (After) Life of the Party (9.2): This song is like "I've Got A Dark Alley..." on their last album. It's slower but has a good mood, great vocals, and a great tone. 10. The Carpal Tunnel of Love (9.0): It was overplayed before the album but it's still a great song. The bridge is the best part with Pete's screaming. Really cool song. 11. Bang the Doldrums (8.9): This song has it's own unique style. I like the chorus and the "whoa"s after each chorus. Pretty clever song. Song title's cool though. =] 12. Fame < Infamy (9.0): The guitar riffs in the beginning are the best in the entire album. The song keeps the same tone most of the enitre time. But the guitar is great in this song. 13. You're Crashing, But You're No Wave (9.3): The guitar in the beginning is pretty cool. This song is also...mysterious in a way. I like the line "Isn't it tragic" at the end of the chorus. The mysterious "whoa"s were cool too. 14. I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears But None On My Fingers (9.4): Great way to end the album. I like the piano in the beginning, catchy and cool. Pete's vocals get high at the beginning of the chorus, it sounds cool. There's applause at the end and some robot voice says "Now Press Repeat". Haha.


Not as good as their last, but thats just means below amazing. Beats become monotonous at times along with the vocals so the tracks that stay offbeat and original (ones I recommend): 1. Thriller 2. Fall Out Boy seem to be gaining popularity by the truckload lately, but who can blame the public? These boys have accomplished in 6 years what many never achieve in a lifetime. Nearly 2 years ago FOB released their critically aclaimed From Under The Cork Tree and now the boys comeback with an album prepared to skyrocket the band even further than ever before. The album kicks off with "Thriller", the punchy, rythmatic introduction to Infinity On High is Fall Out Boy at their finest, with machine gun drums, chugging guitars, soaring vocals, and a guest vocal appearance by Jay-Z, this is the best opener Fall Out Boy has to offer. "I'm Like A Lawyer The Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)" is melow and, at times, jazzy, sounding very close to FOB's spin on Maroon 5. Lead vocalist Patrick Stump (along with a choir), pays homage to Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in the magnificently crafted "Hum Hallelujah", and the storybook theme of the album shows greatly in "The (After) Life of the Party". Lyrics prove to never stop amazing listeners throughout the entire album and the vocals reach a definite high in Fall Out Boy's career. Guest vocals also appear throughout various songs from Butch Walker. A guest guitar solo appears on "The Take Over, The Breaks Over" by Ryan Ross (Panic! At The Disco), and Chad Gilbert (New Found Glory). 2 songs on the album were produced by hip-hop hitmaker, Babyface ("I'm Like A Lawyer The Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)" and "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs"), and 1 song by Butch Walker and Patrick Stump ("Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?"), the rest were produced, recorded, and mixed by Neal Avron, who produced Fall Out Boy's last album, From Under The Cork Tree. All around the album shows Fall Out Boy at it's finest. Heres to another great year for Fall Out Boy.
