Exceptional Album By Cow-Punk Singer...

This album seemed to lack something that would get it airplay in Los Angeles. Oh yes, the station that played it got sold out and changed their format. KNAC emerged playing Metal and Glam-Rock one Monday and bands like Big Country, The Alarm, Lone Justice, The Waterboys, and others lost the best station in L.A. to play their music. Simple Minds and U2 got their airplay by going Pop and Heavy Rock. Get this one and the first album, just for the memory of Maria McKee's beautiful voice.

Great Stuff

The first and last tracks on this are worth 5 stars alone. "I Found Love" is rowdy as all get-out and "Dixie Storms" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. If you haven't scooped up Maria McKee's solo stuff, check it out as well. She's one of the world's most underrated singers.

definitely, without exception, "Shelter" is in my Top 10 of all time . . . . .

As a teen, she studied musical theater, and briefly performed in duos with MacLean and local...
