About Tea

Born Tea Marika Hiilloste in 1982 in Lahti, Finland, pop vocalist Tea first came to public notice as part of a band that made a name for itself on the Finnish television reality talent show Popstars. The band, called Jane, broke up in 2007, and Tea then embarked on a solo career. Her first single, "Tytöt Tykkää," was released on EMI, which signed her soon after the breakup of Jane. Her debut album, also called Tytöt Tykkää, was released in August of 2007. The album sold as well as the single, peaking at number five in the charts. Tea also made a name for herself as a television presenter, hosting the MTV3 program Kids Top 20. ~ Chris True
