Customer Reviews

The album is exceptional, but...

I bought this album from the U.K. when it came out (nearly three years ago), and I don't know why iTunes took so long to port it over to the U.S. but I was very excited when I finally saw it on here... And then I realized that this album is completely different from the one I bought. First of all, one of the best, most hauntingly beautiful songs on the disc, "Angels and Spies", is completely missing. Not to mention, the tracks are in different order and some of them have full minutes of instrumentals cut out of them, like "Lead Us" which was six minutes long on the U.K. version but only 4:46 here. The original album version of "The Salt Wound Routine" sounds very different from the version given here, which sounds much more like the Danton Supple remix sold on the single disc. I suppose I can't help but feel cheated in that one of my favorite albums is being represented incorrectly to the people who are just now finding out about about this amazing band. I am especially upset that "Angels and Spies" isn't even here, as it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Thank you iTunes for finally bringing these guys to the states, but next time, please clean it up a little more. As for those of you who like this band, be sure to check out their new album, "Contact," which at this rate will be coming out on iTunes around mid-2010... Or you could order it elsewhere and listen to it while you're young. Either way. =) -Roxanna

simply surreal

I love this beautiful album. When I listen to it I feel like the crapy world we are in fades away and only the melody resonates in me.

For Some Reason...

Everyone is giving this album five stars, and I know why... Thirteen Senses has truly expressed themselves with this album seperating them from the rest of the field of Alternative music. This album really needs no explanation since so many heartfelt lyrics carry this album to its end. Worthy of listening to multiple times over, this is well worth a purchase. I couldn't give this album a 5, since I really don't believe that many artists can acheive such a high rank. This album is chock full of 3 and 4 star songs and that's the sign of a consistent, well-done effort on this band's part.
