Customer Reviews

CHARITY people!

Stop complaining. 10 bucks for a few good songs isn't bad when it is a fundraiser. Whether or not you like all of the songs, the extra cash spent goes to a good cause. And, the Whip song is awesome, in addition to others not mentioned in previous reviews.

Know what your buying...

These are some great songs by some great artists. What the other reviewers probably don't know is that the album is also for a GREAT cause. Proceeds go to support P:EAR, a non-profit in Portland, OR that works to provide education, art, and recreation resources to homeless and transitional kids. Check out their website - - maybe it will encourage you to (gasp!) pay for the whole album, even if you just want that Decemberist or Dandy Warhol track...

quit your cryin'

When you review an album talk about the music, not the fact that 3 out of 22 songs are "Album Only". As Motley Crue says, "don't go away mad, just go away". The album has some great songs. "Think about me is worth the ten bucks all by itself. But also has some songs that where much better by the original artists. Sister Christian is a good example. Singing out of tune my be hot with the kids, but when you cover a band that can actually sing it sounds silly. If this album was at a two disc price I would think twice about it, but 22 songs at 10 bucks. Can't beat that.
