I want to believe...

It's frustrating to hear more soulless work from these guys. Every new piece from them is something I want to like, I really desperately do.

But I can't. Bono opines that his band is "irrelevant," and it's not that. Achtung Baby remains in steady rotation. Joshua Tree still glistens with sincerity and beauty. Even Pop glistens with its excesses.

But this? It sounds like an apology. Like an admission that they're tapped out, have no direction and don't know where to go. So they try to be too much and it ends up sounding forced.

The lyrical passages are vacant. The vocals are overdone, and the instrumentation has no character. It's just another poor effort, and it kills me.

I want them to return to form. But every new release just reaffirms that they're content with just walking. The world turns too fast for that.

Invisible

U2 does not disappoint. I love their most recent releases, "Invisible" and "Ordinary Love", and I cannot wait for the rest of the album to be released- and am just as excited for whenever the next tour comes around!

Love it

I'm going to listen to it until I hate it

The Edge provided the group with a signature sound by creating sweeping sonic landscapes with his heavily processed, echoed guitars. Though the Edge's style wasn't conventional,...
