More complete than Live In The Still of the Night

Not too many bands can pull off a great LIVE CD. That is NOT the case with Whitesnake. Coverdale has assembled another great version of Whitesnake. Although Marco Mendoza is not on bass on this CD (Uriah Duffy is on bass here), it is a more complete version than last years "LIVE In The Still of the Night" CD. All of Coverdale's hits are covered here. Including "Bad Boys", "Slow & Easy" and "Slide It In" which were missing on last years release. The best part of this CD is the release of 4 new studio tracks. Coverdale teams up with the very underrated Doug Aldrich (guitar) for some fresh new Whitesnake. Glad to hear new stuff from Coverdale and Aldrich. It's been way too long. If you love Whitesnake, this is a must have CD. Even the casual fan will like this CD as well. Its refreshing to hear good, straight forward rock music played to perfection especially LIVE. Coverdale has lost little after all these years. Whitesnake has always been a force to be reckoned with and this CD proves it once again.

Whitesnake Still Rocks!

David Coverdale can still hit the high notes and I personally think he has one of the better voices from that era. Doug Aldrich is kind of under the radar, but I think he ranks right up there with the best guitar players (listen to Snake Dance '06 to sample). And Tommy Aldridge is a legendary drummer who still sounds great. Very good, balanced sound for a live concert recording. All the radio hits sound good; "Slow & Easy", "Here I go Again", "Still of the Night", and "Crying In the Rain" all bring back the 80s hard rock sound. Good to see these guys still touring.

Whitesnake

Having seen Whitesnake in their heyday in the 80's,this is an good representation of their powerful live show. All the Robert Plant wannabe comparisions aside,Whitesnake was and still is a powerful force in the blues heavy rock genre. Many recent fans know the single discs of the 80's,but those interested should check out great earlier work like "Love Hunter", and Ready n' Willing",but for me "Slide It In" will always be their best and most powerful. So dust off those leather pants, put on your chains and bang that head, Ant

After recording two solo albums, former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale formed Whitesnake around 1977. In the glut of hard rock and heavy metal bands of the late '70s, their first albums got somewhat lost in the shuffle, although they were fairly popular in Europe and Japan. During 1982, Coverdale took some time off so he could take care of his sick daughter. When he re-emerged with a new version of Whitesnake in 1984, the band sounded revitalized and energetic. Slide It In may have relied on...
