Album Review

David Coverdale built Whitesnake's commercial breakthrough on a collection of loud, polished hard rockers, plus the band's best set of pop hooks. The Led Zeppelin-ish "Still of the Night" offered headbanger appeal, but it was the big chorus of "Here I Go Again" — one of the very small number of non-power ballad '80s hard rock singles to actually top the pop charts — and the quiet ballad "Is This Love" that really sold the album in spades. The rest of the album generally holds interest as well, and it's easily the band's best.

Hair today, Hair Tomorrow

Listen to this "album" and you get a great sample of the days past. The wonders of spandex, the excitement of an oncoming concert, the drama of 80"s break ups. Download the album, put your best pouty lips on, see if you can still fit into the jeans of the 80's and rock out. Dont however , let your wife see you playing air guitar, you will never live it down.

Here We Go Again!

The song "Here I Go Again" will never be surpassed as the song with the most triumphant main line of all. You'll have to duct-tape your mouth shut and strap yourself to a table to stop yourself from singing, or at least lip-syncing that song. Just you try.

A Must Have !!!

Ok In the 80's there were some outstanding albums that came out and I would have to say that this is one of my top 5. With rock tracks like Still of the Night and Crying in the Rain to the ballads Is this Love to the unforgettable Here I Go Again every track Rocks. A Must Have !!!

After recording two solo albums, former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale formed Whitesnake around 1977. In the glut of hard rock and heavy metal bands of the late '70s, their first albums got somewhat lost in the shuffle, although they were fairly popular in Europe and Japan. During 1982, Coverdale took some time off so he could take care of his sick daughter. When he re-emerged with a new version of Whitesnake in 1984, the band sounded revitalized and energetic.
