Songs About Leaving

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Every song on the album is beautifully written, following the title theme, 'Songs About Leaving' wether about death, break-ups, or just general loss, all of the songs deal with Leaving in someway. The lyrics are astounding, wonderful imagery, excelent minimalist story telling, simple yet full of emotion. The one word I would use to describe this album would be melancholic. But in a way that is so profound that in my mind this album is the epitome of that word. Saddening in such a beautiful way. The music is soft, acoustic, and Jenn's voice is eerie yet soothing, while Matt's voice is stern in a muted sort of way. Every song on the album is amazing, some of them holding the "Top Played" out of all my 131 gigs of music. This is a purchase you will not regret in anyway shape or form.

Very truthful simple lyrics.
