LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

I have both Mastedon albums on cassette and have been hoping for years to find a good deal on replacing them. Got these this past weekend -- all I can say is: SWEET!! I love this album; the follow-up, Lofcaudio, was a bit too slick for my taste at the time (although it has since grown on me) but this album has been one of my favorites since its 1989 release. When I bought it at the tender age of 18, I had no clue about John Elefante's previous stint with Kansas; what I did know was that he and his brother wrote and produced one heck of an album. From start (and what a start it is; the title track is an absolute knockout!) to finish, this album is a no-holds barred rocker (with the obligatory late-80's ballad), covering a wide variety of styles. If you like rock, hard rock, or heavy metal, and aren't of the mind set that anything older than yesterday isn't worth your time, check this out. Thank you, Elefantes, for finally getting these albums back in the public eye.

Phenomenal Classic Rock Album!!!!

This record actually came out in the mid 80's, but it still one of my very, very favorite albums. Songs like Love Inhalation, It's a Jungle out there and Glory Bound are the epitome of great rock. Check out Mastedon's second disc, "Lofcaudio", which is even better!!

One of the BEST EVER!

This and the following album (Lofcaudio) were much more popular in their time than many know. Both of these fall in my top 10 of all time and are a rare find. It's great to see them on iTunes, as you can pay up to $70 for an original CD on Ebay. John and Dino Elefante made this album shortly after John's career as lead singer for Kansas (if you listen to the Vinyl Confessions and Drastic Measures albums, you'll hear their influence). If you like the Kansas song, Fight Fire With Fire, then you'll love this entire album. There have been rumors of a reunion for years... we can only hope! This is great stuff...
