The group's second full-length album continues its special blend of surrealistic whimsy, with dashes of melancholy interspersed, borne out in the tracks "Falls Church, Virginia," "Christmas in Vermont," "The Curse," "Random"; a little bit of calypso with "King of Calypso," "Forget"; and a revisit to one of their 'classics', "Lawyers & Truckers," assisted by the group X-Tal.

It's Real

This album is full of gems that really get to you, but then always make you laugh. For example, these lines from Falls Church, Virginia: "And the time that you're living is a big waste of life.... It seems pointless to work, steal or borrow. Your last friend, the dog, snuck off in the fog and yesterday sounds like tomorrow." (Forgive me if a few words are off.) I think Christmas in Vermont speaks to anyone who has moved away and can't afford that plane ticket home in December. "Someone Else in the Room" showcases Carrie Bradley's sweet and thoughtful writing and delivery. And Joe Leone ROCKS on Lighthouse!
