iTunes Review

Having established herself as one of pop’s most effervescent personalities with her debut, Björk decided to veer into other genres on her third album. The grinding “Army of Me” signals that she's not just crafting songs for the club; the joyful cover of “It’s Oh So Quiet” crash-lands her in a cabaret; and “Hyper-Ballad” more fully reveals her tender side. Post signals Björk’s drive to forge her own path and follow whatever impulses tickle her boundless creativity.

Musical Jewel

Björk's second album "Post" not only confirms Björk authenticity, but it also pushes everything further... beyond genres... Post contains a lot of Björk's classics (Army Of Me, Hyper-ballad, It's Oh So Quiet, Isobel, Possibly Maybe) but still it reserves some hidden gems that weren't singles... Despite the huge sucess that the cover song "It's Oh So Quiet" had, it should not be taken like the best song this album can offer, actually it is far from being that song.... This album will take you on a fantastic trip form song 1 to 11... and you'll never get bored of it... BUY IT !

Björk first came to prominence as one of the lead vocalists of the avant pop Icelandic sextet the Sugarcubes, but when she launched a solo career after the group's 1992 demise, she quickly eclipsed her old band's popularity. Instead of following in the Sugarcubes' arty guitar rock pretensions, Björk immersed herself in dance and club culture, working with many of the biggest names in the genre, including Nellee Hooper, Underworld, and Tricky. Debut, her first solo effort (except for an Icelandic-only...
