iTunes Review

This five-song EP proves that Europe have only become stronger in old age. Recorded more than 30 years after their debut, “Last Look at Eden,” “No Stone Unturned,” and “New Love in Town” portray a band still in their prime. Backed by string arrangements, the group’s swirling hard rock sometimes echoes the mystical power of Led Zeppelin circa “Kashmir.” The original recording of “Rock the Night” was more than 20 years old on the occasion of this performance, but the band play it as though it had been written the night before. Loose and loud, the feeling is far more organic than the original. The set closes with “The Beast,” which sounds like a cross between The Black Crowes and Velvet Revolver. They brought the house down, and they didn’t even have to play “The Final Countdown.”

Thank you soo much itunes!!! This is just terrific and fantastic!!!!! <3

Europe at their best!

Only five songs? This is Europe at their best! These songs, especially "New love in town," are actually better than the original studio recordings. They show a bigger more mature band. I like to see them big and loud like this or stripped down and acoustic. Hope to see more soon!

Europe forever!!!! They have one of the greatest live concerts ever!!! Europe forever! Joey, John, John, Mic, and Ian!!

Originally a progressive rock group, Europe didn't achieve success until they reworked their sound into bombastic yet melodic pop-metal. In their first incarnation, the Swedish band was called Force. The band -- featuring core members Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitar), Tony Reno (drums), and John Leven (bass) -- won a national talent contest in the early '80s, which led to a record contract. After changing their name to Europe and releasing two albums in Sweden (Europe and Wings of Tomorrow),...
