Customer Reviews

Powerful and Beautiful music.

Why is there only one other review for this amazing OBCR? I could have sworn there were many more when I checked it out in the summer. Anyway, this is a really amazing soundtrack. I have yet to see the show (I did read a summary of it), but the music captures the characters emotions so well, I feel like I have. The music is powerful, and really beautiful. Deals with heavy subject matter and it reminds of RENT in that way so if you like that show, which I LOVE, then be sure to check out Next To Normal! It makes an immediate impact on you, and I can't wait to see it live. My personal favorite songs are "Just Another Day", "Who's Crazy/My Psychopharmcologist and I", "You Don't Know" and "Superboy and the Invisible Girl". ***** stars for me.

Probably the best show of the past 30 years

I saw Next to Normal on broadway, and without a doubt, it is simply one of the best shows I've ever seen. Each of the six cast members are totally convincing in their respective roles. Also, the music is evoking, colorful, varied and powerful, There is in fact one problem I have, and it is not with the show: my qualm is with my fellow reviewers. People seem to keep making comparisons to Rent. I can see no comparison between the two, save the fact that they both use instruments commonly found in rock music. I'd say that they are such totally different and separate works, any comparison seems incredibly strange to me.

I LOVE Aaron Tveit!!!

i think this album is awesome (even though they have the names of the singers mixed up for most of the songs)!
