Thug Matrimony: Married To The Streets-Trick Daddy

Another album, Trick creates a buzz with "Let's Go". He has been around for a fair amount of time and his raw dirty south mouth is back with some bangin MIA music. F***in Around: Menacing production as T.I., Young Jeezy and Kase 1 appear for a nice collaboration. 3/5 Let's Go: Lil' Jon's sample of "Crazy Train" from Ozzy Osbourne is crazy and the ruckess is perfect for Trick's raw sound. Lil' Jon's hook shines, as Twista's double time flow is incredible. Great banger here, possibly Trick's best hit to date. 5/5 Gangsta Livin: Decent beat with an okay hook that had some nice horns. 3/5 These Are The Daze: Laid back track here that talks about Trick's past, relaxing. 3.5/5 I Wanna Sang: Feel good vibe here is evident on another "Trick Love Da Kids" track, with children singing, Trick talks about doing things for community. 4/5 The Children's Song: The last of the touching kid cuts, Trick shows a lot of diversity with a touching track here that stays thug but a loveable thug with a great hook. 4.5/5 U Neva Know: Trick doesn't want you to get it twisted as he brings a real dirty track here. 3/5 Sugar (Gimme Some): Great hook by Cee-Lo this MIA sunshine track works well as Luda's verse is great. Trick flows well with various candy comparisons. 4/5 Menage A Trois: Money Mark appears as well as Smoke of Field Mob. The hook is nicely done but this freaky track is a skipper. 2.5/5 J.O.D.D.: "Menage A Trois" was the laid back freakiness and he backs it up with the uptempo club bangin horn filled "J.O.D.D.". I wasn't feelin this. 2.5/5 4 Eva: Great bounce with smooth guitar as Jazze's assisting hook works well. Nice feel good track here. 3.5/5 I Cry: Ronald Isley's soulful hook is great and adds a nice touch to Trick's gangsta voice. A good track for Trick. 4/5 Thugs About: MIA feel on this one as Dirtbag's hook and verse are assisting. 3.5/5 Ain't A Thug: Trey Songz hook is nicely done and this track works well. 4/5 Down Wit Da South: Trick ends the album with some down south crunk along with Deuce Komradz, Trina and the Ying Tang Twins. 3.5/5 Overall this may be one of Trick's best albums, if not the best. Production was solid here and his club banger "Let's Go" was a nice rock/rap fusion. "Sugar (Gimme Some)" had a great vibe to it with Cee-Lo's catchy hook and Luda's hot verse. Where this album really shines is tracks 4-6 and 12-15. 4-6 highlights Trick Love Da Kids and then he has laid back feel good joints with 12-16. All around a solid album. Rating 8 out of 10

Trick Is No Trick

Best Trick Daddy Album. Best Song Is I Wanna Sang. I have A Question. What's Up With The Review Titled "UR Mom?" That Has Nothing To Do With This Album or Trick Daddy.

One of the most thuggish rappers ever embraced by the mainstream, Trick Daddy broke out of the South in 2001 with "I'm a Thug" and established himself as an unlikely national superstar. Before his breakthrough, he scored a few regional hits here and there but remained largely an underground rapper. In particular, he became known for his club anthems, which were characterized by their rousing beats and his rowdy lyrics. "Nann Nigga" and "Shut Up" became his best-known early successes, each featuring...
