In a word.... SPEECHLESS!!!
Trevor Rabin, who basically helped YES, reach a wider audience was responsible for their most 'commercial' material, but his genius has always been not only in his outstanding songcraft, but his use of sound. This release, is something that any real Rabin fan will salivate over. By far, probably one of the most adventureous and dense records of his career. To say it's PANORAMIC is an understatement. This is breathtaking music played with such deep passion and heart. Rabin's use of the studio as an instrument is why he is so in-demand in the movie scoring world. Be mindful, this is NOT a vocal record!!! This is strictly instrumental, but not the sort of 'look at me shred my axe' garbage - this is MUSIC. Sure, 23 years after the release of "Can't Look Away" (which is simply brilliant), Rabin has firmly shown that he has not lost one single guitar trick in his vast toolbox. Simply awe-inspiring music that requires deep listening to get the whole 'picture'.
One of the most unique listening experiences ever....
Amazing...the level of musicianship on display is unbelievable...a jazz, rock, fusion combo and that doesn't really conform to any genre...a true listening experience...Thank you Mr. Rabin, the wait was worth it...
Flat out Brilliant!
