"I'm a Hog for You" Indeed!

When my friend dale told me about the Surfaris in the late 60s, I thought he was joking. However, after I attended my first concert, i was hooked. 65 shows later, these "Surfer dudes" remain my favorite, and this single is an excellent showcase for their talets (immense, needless to say). Rock on in the summer sun!!!!

Two Previously Unheard Monsters!!

When the Surfaris' monumental "Wipe Out" blitzed the charts in the summer of '63, the L.A. combo was rushed back into the studio to cut a full album of foam-flecked classics. Inexplicably that LP was never released, but 40 years later, here are two previously unheard monsters from that Holy Grail of surf sessions: early workouts on "Jack The Ripper" and "I'm A Hog For You"--both undeniable evidence that great things are worth waiting for! Boss pic sleeve inkluded!!!

They recorded an astonishing number of albums (about half a dozen) and singles in the mid-'60s; the "Wipe Out" follow-up, "Point Panic," was the only one to struggle up to the middle of the...
