The Magnificent Album

Wohoo! What an honnor! First to write a review about "the Magnificent tree"
This album is terrific. If you listen to this album in your car, it is gonna make you want to drive for hours and not wanting to stop. So dreamy! Check out: "Mad about you", "Out of sight", " The Magnificient tree" and "Pink Fluffy Dinosaurs" Ps: Check out also: " A new stereophonic sound spectacular"...their first album.

Form Stood on Its Ears

One of the best things about Hooverphonic is their skills in arranging their musical scores. You can always expect, during a song, to go on a non-repetitive journey and meet any number of sonic surprises along the way. "Out of Sight" is a prime example as it moves in and out of a percussion backdrop to reveal countermelodies and hidden harmonies. "L'Odeur Animale" is sung in English, alas, but provides the soul of this release, and "The Magnificent Tree" weaves its sonic accents in and out of an ethereal melody to make a most memorable listening experience. This album is not for those looking for background music. This is music for the discriminating, demanding palate.

let down

this album is just ok with maybe two good songs -- nothing like the many jems found on their first two albums.
