Customer Reviews

Theres a more grounded sound from this Vibesquad than in the previous EPs. Theres a definite backbeat that I havnt heard in the EPs. The use of spoken words and samples is prominent. Mainly the spoken words poke their head through over the samples. At times it seems like the spoken words are there to cover up a lacking of something within the music though. This album is much darker than the previous EPs as well. Theres some dance club elements in there along with the classic "wobbleston" wobbles. I'm going to be listening to it for weeks! Must have for Vibesquad fans

The album name says it all!

Tipper vs. Vibesquad settled...

I think this album is great... however, many people have argued about Tipper having similar music. Honestly in my opinion i prefer tipper, BUT not because the music is better, but because it is different. Tipper cuts deeper into thick dark beats and sounds, and Vibesquad has a lighter feel. Tipper uses more instruments than Vibesquad, but that does not define a group to be better than another. This is a very well developed album to the funk-tronic style, and is but an alternative to Tipper.
