Just seen someone sing this on the x factor uk and he said he thought of it in a different way. His friend had passed away and he thought of the words as in saying he was jealous his friend was happy in heaven. It was beautiful. And the guy on there blew this song out of the water! He actually did a really good job! Just looked it up here on itunes because of that performance. I never heard the song before or heard of the artist. To be honest, this song and artist are great, but I think the melody on xfactor seemed more powerful. Sometimes there are songs that are great, but you imagine they would be better or more popular if someone more well known sang them. This is one of them. I can imagine if someone like neyo sang this , it would be instantly known over here! It really is a great song.
I'm not sure what is taking the U.S. so long to catch on. Labrinth should be a household name here. He pushed the production envelope with Electronic Earth, and now it seems he is letting his arrangements shine with Jealous and Let it Be. His next album is gonna be sick! Jealous in particular is a beautiful, heartfelt song that everyone can relate to at some point in his/her life.
This by far could be the best song I've heard all of 2014. I literally have it on repeat. So much soul and heart in a instantly classic song. If you want to listen to talented music and truly appreciate hearing it, do yourself a favor and listen to this song.
