Star Trek, Vol. 3 (Original Television Scores)
Open iTunes to preview, buy, and download music.
A more than welcome third entry in the soundtrack series drawn from the original Star Trek. This time around the cues are compiled from one of Alexander Courage's rare scores for the show ("The Naked Time") and Gerald Fried's score for "Shore Leave." Amazingly, the mastering this time is an improvement over the previous release in the series — and that disc sounded terrific. Musically, the cues here are generally more traditional, with few of the instrumental effects used in scores for episodes such as "Amok Time." Altogether, an enjoyable disc.
Finally, what all trekkies have been waiting for.
This is great! iTunes has finally added (or rather, I only just noticed that they added) themes from the original Star Trek show!! Had I any money, I would download it on the spot. But what for? The music is an irreplacable part of the series that any serious fan should be able to hum along with the 30 second preview. iTunes should send a notice to all the Star Trek podcasts to let them know about this. JUNGLEKITTY, I know you're reading this. At least "golden boy" has enough mention on iTunes. Listen and enjoy!! <("<) (>")> Ph34r the dancing kirbies.
finally, some songs from my favorite episdoes! Espicalley the epsiode the Naked Time
