Smooth Soundtrack

Unless you grew up in the 70s, this album may simply seem like another movie soundtrack, but for those of us who had our minds blown by the Richard Bach's book of the same name, these smooth, complexly orchestral songs represent an epiphany: that words and music can connect to deep truths about life, death, and spirituality. Beautifully composed and rendered, Neil Diamond puts his considerable songwriting skills in the service of these transcendent ideals, with results that alternate between sweet, emotive, and transcendent.

Beautiful!

The goregeous music by Neil Diamond in this album can only be summarized like this: Deeply spiritual. I never saw the 1973 film, but I loved listening to "Be" from the "Neil Diamond´s 12 greatets Hits" album back in ´83, and I did read Richard Bach´s book, but when a friend of mine lent me this soundtrack back in ´87 I loved it and was instantly hooked. It literally lifts your soul and lets your spirit soar in the sky along with Jonathan Livingston Seagul.
