Guitarist Jorge Santana (brother of Carlos) is joined by his fellow Malo bandmates on his self-titled debut for Tomato Records. Carlos Roberto lays wide, heavy basstones and Richard Bean delivers smooth vocals on the long, classic laid-back groover "Love the Way." Other highlights are "Tonight You're Mine," "Nobody's Perfect," "Love You, Love You," "Sandy," and "Darling I Love You." "Love the Way" is on the Thump Records CDs Latin Oldies,Vol. 3 and Latin Oldies Trilogy.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1972, included the Top Twenty hit, "Suavecito."
