The Killers Pay Homage To Their Spiritual and Musical Influences

The Killers will be around long after most of today's bands have entered the trash bin of rock and roll's one-hit-wonders. Few artists release one classic album in their careers let alone three in a row. Day and Age is an infectious mix of surprises. Thankfully, they haven't catered to those who have wanted Hot Fuss II and III. Both Sam's Town and Day and Age show that this is one band that continues to evolve with every new recording. If my copy of Day and Age was vinyl, the grooves would already be well-worn. Though I'm not a big fan of Christmas tunes, I like the fact that the Killers recognize and work with those from whom they have artfully borrowed. I'd love to see them also collaborate with David Bowie in the future. Can't wait to see them here in Phoenix again when they play "under the heat of the southwest sun."

Christmas is Here

How do i know its time to kick the christmas celebrations into gear? Because The Killers release a new Christmas Single! I have to say i like this song...much more ballad-y then Don't Shoot Me Santa or Great Big Sled. But its definately a more serious song, and clearly they took a lot of time to write this...oh and Elton John is on the track. All in all i have to say another great new Christmas song. Its refreshing to hear some new and original Christmas music every year, and the Killers never fail to deliver!

The Killers have done better. This song is decent but it isn't as good as their 2 previous christmas songs "A Great Big Sled" and "Don't Shoot Me Santa." At least in my opinion.

Few bands in the early 2000s rose so quickly to the forefront of pop music as the Killers. With a mix of '80s-styled synth pop and fashionista charm, the band's street-smart debut, Hot Fuss, became one of 2004's biggest releases, spawning four singles and catapulting the group -- particularly their dandyish, 22-year-old frontman, Brandon Flowers -- into the international spotlight. Hot Fuss reveled in the garish glitz of the band's native Las Vegas, spinning tales of androgynous girlfriends and illicit...
