IT'S BACK ON iTunes !!!

Why was this GREAT album taken off iTunes in the first place ???
This album is a beautiful gem crafted by Jewel !!
Even though it isn't as raw as Pieces of You, Jewel shows us how talented she is at writing meaningful songs (compared to pure junk which is invading our radio stations !) with beautiful lyrics.
The whole album is worth buying and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed !
My personal favorites are Deep Water, Hands, Kiss the Flame, Jupiter, Barcelona, Do You and Absence of Fear.

Yay!! Finally!!

In the world of desert island records, this one was my first. It was a CD my Mom had, I thought Jewel was way cute, and I'd totally fallen in love with Hands, so I put it into my Discman from time to time as I studied. Then the day came, Kiss the Flame began, and right when it hit the part where she sings "to face what's left of concrete and honey", I was made more alive.

I'd never had that happen to me before. Songs, yes, but not an entire album. That feeling has been felt countless times since, from from Lupe Fiasco's The Cool and Mars Volta's De Loused in the Commatorium to Sarah McLachlan's Mirrorball and Counting Crows' This Desert Life, but this album was the first. After that moment when I realized that what I was listening to was something that was actually moving me and inspiring me, there was just nothing else that mattered, and every moment since has been in search of more albums like this.

As for the songs not already mentioned, they're all amazing. Pick up the album if you haven't already, and with any luck, some absolutely dumbfounding moment of rapture will descend upon you, it will become a veil, and the two of you will have connected.

Love this

I used to listen to this every night to get relaxed. It's one of my favorite CDs!!

As a story, Jewel's origin is impossible to beat: on her way up, the singer/songwriter lived in a van on the West Coast, struggling to find an entrance to a career as a professional musician. This hardscrabble tale, only enhanced by her Alaskan upbringing, stood in direct contrast to the sweet, gentle hits "Who Will Save Your Soul," "You Were Meant for Me," and "Foolish Games" from her 1995 debut Pieces of You, songs that never suggested a tough background. Nevertheless, Jewel's sensitive side and...
