EDITORS’ NOTES

This Atlanta quartet spike their deadpan lo-fi rock with satire and social consciousness. Their self-titled debut EP may be brief, but it packs a vicious punch as they match the propulsive, punky beats of "Suffering Prom" with a casual shout-out to Black Lives Matter in the dreamy garage pop of "Nina" and a cutting commentary on 9/11 with the grungy "Inside Joke." But best of all is the No Doubt-nodding, Nirvana-esque "Just a Gwen"—a darkly sarcastic barb at misogyny.
