This album is as good as his last album, "Who The Hell is John Eddie". If you haven't had the opportunity to hear that album, do yourself a favor and download both of these albums now. John does an incredible job of writing lyrics. You feel every word. The best thing about this album (as well as his last one) is that they are simple. They are not 'over-produced'. They are just a guy, with his guitar, and a simple back up band recording a song. It's incredible. I am a mobile DJ and have literally 10s of thousands of songs at my disposal. This is what is in my car, my ipod, and my home stereo. I tell people constantly that this is the 'best artist you have never heard of'. This album has some love songs, some self-reflection songs, and even some funny songs (again, very much like his last album). The only thing better than a John Eddie album is a live John Eddie concert. So, download his albums, learn his music, and when he comes to your town, go to his show and he'll rock your socks off.

To John Eddie: please don't make us wait 9 years before you do this again.

Another great CD from John. Successfully making the crossover from rock to country. Wish him all the success in the world. Previous reviewer nailed it- see him live and you'll be hooked. I've been one of the faithful for longer than I care to admit and will continue to see him as long as he keeps playing.

It's criminal...

...that John Eddie is so far under the radar. The man is a treasure. He has been for years. His songs are butter and sadness and laughter. He's at the top of my desert island playlist. Anybody who doesn't have any of his albums is missing out BIG time.

Born in Richmond, VA, in 1959, John Eddie relocated to New Jersey as an adult to pursue his musical career. A popular live draw on the club scene, he was joined on-stage on occasion by Bruce Springsteen. Signing a record deal with CBS/Sony, his self-titled debut was well-received in 1986 with its blend of bar-room swagger and heartland rock. The infectious single "Jungle Boy" climbed to the middle portion of the Top 100 chart, but his sophomore effort failed to ignite, despite the attention he received...
