One of Her Best

Maybe it’s because this was the first Nina Simone album I really listened to. I think all of the songs are excellent! From the title track to her excellent rendition of Ooh Child. It’s a classic!

Under Rated Gem

A really terrific album featuring covers of many contemporary pop songs rather than the jazz standards with which she made her considerable reputation. 'New Dawn Coming' is worth the price of admission on its own, particularly when she gets ‘biblical' in the second half of the song. One of my absolute favorite Nina Simone albums.
