Well worth the wait...

This album is absolutely outstanding! As with most Black Lab fans, I have been waiting forever for them to make an acoustic album and this came out better then I ever could have hoped for. Every single person I have played this for has fallen in love with it, regardless of their musical preferences.

I was lucky enough to have been in the studio with them while they were recording, and I couldn't believe how gorgeous everything sounded and had a hard time imagining it could possibly sound that good on the album. Well, it does. Though of course nothing could compare to hearing it played in person, this album makes you feel like you are right there in the room with them. And hearing your old favorites played in this new way makes you fall in love with them all over again.

Paul & Andy - thank you so much for bringing this work of art to all your fans! It was well worth the long wait.

I'm a Black Lab Addict!

I admit, I am Black Lab's biggest fan. But, I am honest and wouldn't write a review that I didn't believe whole heartedly. This is by far my 2nd favorite Black Lab cd of all time. (Your Body Above Me will always be my first true love). This album is raw emotion, lust, love, and heartache crafted into something that you don't listen to, you expirience it. And then you have to listen to it again just to be sure you didn't miss a note or breathy sigh. I fell in love with "Circus Lights" years ago and listening to it broken down and put back together made me appreciate it that much more. I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter myself and I could only dream of writing such moving music and lyrics. Well done, Paul! Well done!

One of the best of their albums!

I think I own just about everything Black Lab has produced and this is absolutely one of their best! The acoustic versions of some of my favorite songs, like Wash It Away, See the Sun, and This Night are so much more intimate and heartfelt than the originals. This Night, which is what originally brought me to the band (it was used as a promo for Season 9 of The Shield and I tracked them down thru google :), is just chilling in this acoustic version. I highly recommend this collection - you won't be disappointed! By all means, check out their other albums too, if you haven't already.

The alternative rock combo Black Lab originally formed in the Bay Area in 1995 around vocalist Paul Durham, bassist Geoff Stanfield, guitarist Michael Belfer, and drummer Bryan Head.
