10 Songs, 43 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

It's hard to imagine what space-age bachelor pads did before Air's 1998 debut album. Mixing together folk, '60s soul, and French chanson, and balancing vintage synthesizers with muted horns and lush acoustic instrumentation, the Parisian duo single-handedly redefined stylish easy listening. As light as the foam on a café au lait, the album's just the thing for a picnic along the Seine—or Sunday morning on the sofa. And no makeout mixtape is complete without the winking "Sexy Boy" or the dreamy "All I Need."

Slow Album

Kinda slow after Sexy Boy but I like this album a lot. My favorite song in Moon Safari is Kelly Watch The Stars.

One of the Best Albums Ever...

When I came across this album back in 2015, I became convinced that music could be eternally beautiful. Upon first listen to "La Femme D'Argent," I knew I was going to love this album. And this would be the album that opened my ears to other forms of music, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Probably the magnum opus of this wonderful band, and the best electronic album of the 1990s!
