Acerca de Killswitch Engage
Tras la disolución de Overcast en 1998, Mike D'Antonio (bajista, líder y principal compositor del grupo) inmediatamente se puso a buscar integrantes para formar una nueva banda, la cual finalmente se denominaría Killswitch Engage y contaría con el baterista Adam Dutkiewitz, el cantante Jesse Leach y el guitarrista Joel Stroetzel. El álbum debut homónimo de Killswitch Engage fue publicado en el 2000 por Ferret Records. Con su inédita combinación de heavy metal y hardcore, la banda atrajo el interés del prestigioso sello Roadrunner, uno de los más importantes del género. Pioneros del estilo metalcore, durante las décadas del 2000 y 2010 el grupo vendió millones de discos y obtuvo numerosos premios, en particular gracias al suceso del aclamado The End of Heartache, del 2004. ~ Greg Prato
