I can't believe I never heard of this guy until right now. I also am surprised that only one other person has commented on this album. That's crazy, this guy is awesome

I love this guy. Check out the album he did with stevie ray vaughn. It will blow your mind!

It sounded good when I was 17 and every bit as good at 55

Many years ago when I got fed up with the 70's rock and roll scene, I entered into listening to the Blues. At first it was BB and then eventually Albert. The guitar solo on personal manager is simple and yet searing and still sends tingling up my backbone. No other blues or rock player can touch it. But some have come close in Alberts wake such as SRV or Clapton or Joe B or many other other worthwhile blues and rock players. Albert chops some serious wood with his axe. If you are kind of new to the Blues scene, you will LOVE this and will hooked and end up wanting more...cause nobody slices it as deep as Albert King does. I was grateful to see him live in 76 with the Bar-Kays (playing horns) and again in 85 at a small club in LA and again in 89 at a larger venue in the LA area with Bobby Blue Bland and BB King peforming before. Albert delivered the goods. I was also able to catch his last show at a small club in Orange County. He died within a few monthsin the south from a heart attack. His music lives on. Albert really launched and influnced the rock and roll scene greatly. Ever hear Strange Brew by Cream? Buy this if you like searing and wailing, expressive soul blues......

Albert King is truly a "King of the Blues," although he doesn't hold that title (B.B. does). Along with B.B. and Freddie King, Albert King is one of the major influences on blues and rock guitar players. Without him, modern guitar music would not sound as it does -- his style has influenced both black and white blues players from Otis Rush and Robert Cray to Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. It's important to note that while almost all modern blues guitarists seldom play for long without falling...
