Kings of Metal MMXIV - Silver Edition

This album is VERY well done. It is a modern 25th aniversary version of the 1988 album by ManOwaR. It is totally re-recorded with new versions of this EPIC classic true metal album. All around it is the best of their of the albums to date IMO. The Battle Hymns that came out in 2011 comes in a very close second. It is not that I do not like old school material by the band, but it obviously has better technology andmore was taken time to do it right with full creative liscence.

(Sir) Joey Demaio - At bass is an incredible composer / songwriter as you will ever find. Also a realy under-rated bass player. He can play bass better than many lead guitar players. On this album he rises well above and beyond just playing an instrument. He wields a great hammer of war.

Eric Adams - at vocals is an incredible singer by any standards. His blend of metal screams and almost operatic technique really puts "Power" into the term Power metal. His near 4 octave range(I am guessing) is simply amazing. His talet places him in the realm of the METAL GODS: Dio, Halford, Dickenson, and Robert Plant.

I am not a Drummer, but Dinnie Hamzik definately gives the feel and strength of the thunder of the gods. It is a different feel than the late Scott Columbus, but no less powerful.

Karl Logan on lead Guitar is technically and and melodically masterful. His riffs give more of a epic feel than the more traditional licks of the previous bearer of the battle axe: Ross The Boss.

As a spoken word artist myself, I was very impressed with the performance of Brian Blessed on the Track "The Warriors Prayer" It is definately a must listen.

The istrumental tracks are als a very cool addition!

Just plain good!

The instrumental versions alone are worth the price of admission! Overall, superbly done, Manowar have not embarrassed themselves by any measure.

True metal masterpiece

Always thought it would be cool if a band re-recorded a 25 year old cd with today's technology and manowar did a phenomenal job. They have proven again that they are the undisputed heavy metal kings. Saw them at the regency in sf with my son and they were worth the money. Hail manowar & death to false metal.

One of the most internationally successful bands in all of heavy metaldom, Auburn, New York-born power metal outfit Manowar -- Eric Adams (vocals), Karl Logan (guitars), Joey DeMaio (bass), and Donnie Hamzik (drums) -- have sold over nine million records since their inception in 1980. Steeped in the pageantry of heavy metal, the group's approach was designed to be the raw, primal, Viking antithesis of classic rock, and their music followed suit, based on raw, aggressive riffs, with lyrics that were...
