Album Review

Great sound, great vocals, and outstanding bluegrass. It includes "Enjoy Black Pony" and "Come Early Morning."

Customer Reviews

Ignore previous review - This is a great CD!!!

Its quite obvious the first reviewer of this album has no knowledge or understanding of bluegrass music. Billboard Magazine calls Lynn Morris "...on of the truest and most affecting female vocalists in bluegrass today". She is also an accomplished musician. In 1981 she became the first person to win the coveted National Bluegrass Banjo Championship 1974 & 1981 first place title. Lynn is a three time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year three times and seven times Traditional Female Vocalist for the Society for Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America. Her band has been a career spring board for many bluegrass musicians. This CD is fine early example of her signature sound. I highly recommend it to discerning listeners.

Great Classic Bluegrass

I agree the first reviewer does not know what they were talking about. Any real Bluegrass fan would like this album. It's classic Bluegrass. My only complaint is Lynn does not sing on all the songs. If she had I probably would have rated it 5 stars. The other singers are good, but Lynn's vocals are really why I bought the album.

You'll not be sorry

I agree that Lynn Morris is a fine bluegrass singer, but she's a fine singer period. You don't have to be a bluegrass fan to appreciate this music. It's top notch.

There are a few women who opened the path for others to follow, and Lynn Morris was, and still is, one of those talented, determined trailblazers. Singer, bandleader, and musician, Morris grew up in the little rural town of Lamesa, TX. She wasn't...
