A dedicated fan ecstatic for a new way of enjoying MTB

This is fantastic and a real treat for any Minus the Bear fan. Listening to their songs acoustically gives them a completely different sound, the flow is sure and a great album to just listen to. Odd at first is to get used to upbeat tracks such as "Burying Luck", but it gorws on you while "Pachuca Sunrise" is delicious to the ears. New "Guns & Ammo" is decent and a lovely bonus. I will be purchasing this at their upcoming tour along with online since I cannot wait.

A must buy for any MTB fan

Ever since hearing Pachuca Sunrise two years ago I have been a huge fan of the band. I was mesmerized by the guitars and the complex, yet extremely appropriate, drum beats. This album puts into even more perspective the dynamics of the music and how even simple melodys can create something never heard before if aranged correctly. Acoustic instruments tend to highlight every note played, which makes you appreciate the songs even more. My only complaint is that there aren't more songs from albums pre-Ice Planet. Minus the Bear is easily my favorite band today and with tracks like these coming out, I'm sure they will be for a very long time.

Being a Minus the Bear fan for some time now, this is an amazingly different sound for them. This different sound is seriously jaw-dropping. As a side note, they are also one of the most impressive live bands I have seen in a while. I really didn't expect to much from either of their live shows...or this album but, I stand corrected. "Ice Monster", in my opinion, is the stand out acoustic version of the bunch. All the songs are really well done. My only wish to improve on this album is to see more! Give us some "I'm totally not down with Rob's Alien", "Get Me Naked 2: Electric Boogaloo", or "Hey! Is that a Ninja up there?"! After hearing this, I'm craving some more and it would really be awesome to see an Acoustics version 2 by Minus the Bear. Thank you MINUS THE BEAR!

With catchy song titles like "Hey, Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked," "Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!!," and "Lemurs, Man, Lemurs," it's hard not to be at least a little bit curious about this Seattle-based quintet. Featuring members of Botch, Kill Sadie, and Sharks Keep Moving, Minus the Bear emerged on Seattle's music scene in 2001 with the release of their six-song EP This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic. The band comprised guitarist Dave Knudson, vocalist/guitarist Jake Snider, drummer Erin Tate,...
