A disappointing mixed bag

It hurts to give KPP less than five stars, never mind three. As a huge fan of most of her output post-Pon Pon Pon, I’m hugely disappointed with much of the direction being taken here. Mottai Nightland and Kira Kira Killer fit well enough into my iPhone’s KPP A-list, but after that it gets bleak. I never want to like her music, and in truth, the first time I listen through her albums I never like the songs… then within an hour or two I find myself humming them or trying to remember the lyrics. I’m always surprised how quickly she grows on me. Another amazing album full of fun songs you can dance to, drive to, or enjoy however you like.

First Timer Here

Born Kiriko Takemura, Pamyu's first hobby was fashion, and her attention-getting outfits incorporated Harajuku streetwear...
