Album Review

K-pop rapper and Big Bang member G-Dragon set his sights on America with his 2013 effort Coup D'etat, Pt. 1, an album that features producers Baauer and Diplo along with rapper Missy Elliot as guest artists. Check the lead single "MichiGo," and "I Love It" with Zion. T and Boys Noize as guests for the highlights, then be shocked when this flashy and slick effort goes deep, sampling Gil Scott-Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" during its title track.

For listeners who cannot speak Korean, waiting on a breakdown of the lyrics will help with a full album assessment, but it's safe to assume GD is re-solidifying himself as one of the most dynamic artists in music universally with each track. Is this album a smack to the face of the current climate of Kpop? We'll have to wait for the full rollout to know...

Good

But Black with Jennie Kim is much better

OMG

It's out!!! Lydia's voice is awesome!!! Ahh GD is.... to many words!!!
