Just one song~

I only know one song from this album, but I really do love it and I love Maaya's music too. I don't know many of her songs, but among those I know 'Koucha' from this album is ranked absolute highest. I don't know any of the other songs on here *Laughs* otherwise I'd probably give it five stars. I'm so glad Itunes is getting more Maaya on here - I was so irritated when they didn't have this album when I first checked! :D

Maaya is the best!

I really enjoy the album. please add more of her songs to iTunes! also add some Megumi Nakajima and may'n!

One of Maaya's Strongest Albums

As of the writing of this reivew, itunes has four albums up by Maaya Sakamoto (Lucy, Dive, Easy Listening, 30minute night flight). All four are worth your attention but if you've only got enough cash for one, then Lucy is it. Like all of Maaya's early albums, Lucy is a collabortation between volcalist Maaya Sakamoto and composer Yoko Kanno, a match made in heaven if there ever was one. The tracks that can be found here are some of the best of her ealy career, many of them posessing a powerful and confident air. Fans of the anime series Earth Girl Arjuna will be happy to find ending themes Mameshima and Kuuki to Hoshi, both very strong tracks even without the anime connections. Other favorites of mine include the strong Strobe no Sora, the catchy Alkaloid, and the album closer Watashi wa Oka no Uekara Kabin wo Nageru, which features Maaya hitting some beautiful high notes in the chorus and a powerful build up in the second half of the song.

If you enjoy pure, beautiful vocals then Maaya Sakamot would be a fantastic choice, and the album Lucy a perfect place to start out. Featuring powerful, catchy, and fun songs sung in both Japanese and English, Lucy is one of Maaya's best studio albums.

Maaya Sakamoto is one of the top Japanese voice actors, which means a lot in Japan, where "seiyuu," as they are called, are popular show biz features. In addition to her work on famous anime series such as Death Note and Gundam Seed Destiny, she leads a successful singing career, which began in collaboration with Yoko Kanno, Japan's best commercial composer. The Tokyo-born Sakamoto became a star early: at 15, she voiced the main character in the famous anime Vision of Escaflowne (1996), and sang...
