Customer Reviews

Good but not great.

I am really sick and tired of some of the reviews in the store. People either review a genre they know nothing about or they review people they love and either way you look at it, it gets biased. Take this L.E.F. for example. I've been a fan of Corsten under his Gouryella name for quite a while now and it's very clear that the LEF Ep is not his best work. Is it a damn good entry into the US House/Techno scene? Yes. But best dance alblum of the season it is not. iTunes is tragicly lacking the wonderful remixes that pop up on the P2P networks that turn good works like this into the amazing dance hall tracks that Trance Junkies adore. Finaly, yes I did buy the CD out of support for Corsten but I'd rather just pop in his old Madagascar Remix than listen to this.

Bubble gum teenie-bopper version of Ferry Corsten.

Ferry is an elite trance DJ and has much MUCH better works heating up the dance Euro charts. However it's obvious this album has been rendered specifically for a US audience and should really be categorized under electronic/pop. The only Ferry Corsten songs available on iTunes (as of July 06) I would purchase are Fire (Extended Mix), Who's Knockin'? (Ferry Corsten Remix), Prison Break Theme (Ferry Corsten Breakout Mix) [Extended Version].

This is by far the best electronic album I have heard this year. This really beats out Ferry's last produced album, the tunes are just strait club destroyers here.

Otherwise known as System F, in addition to using nearly 30 other (less prolific) pseudonyms, Rotterdam, Netherlands-born DJ and producer Ferry Corsten rose to prominence in the late '90s as one of Europe's top trance jocks, highlighted by an anthem-filled appearance on Ministry of Sound's first Trance Nation album. Throughout the first decade of the 2000s, Corsten issued mix albums at a roughly two-discs-per-year clip, including releases for Moonshine, Thrive, Ultra, and Gatecrasher. In 2005, he...
