A good beginning

I fell in love with the Rescues based on their two later albums. I was introduced by a young friend of mine and then I brought my father in, who was offended that the Rescues' first album wasn't available (at the time).

This is a group that transcends any sort of musical prejudice. It's fun, it's evocative, it's musically beautiful. This album is definitely a grass roots one. They've grown so much, especially in terms of singing by the time they get to "Blah Blah Love and War." There are so many great songs on here too, from "Lost Along the Way" and "California Rain" to the soulful "New Kind of Cool" that reminds me of my own life philosophy. Then there's "Crazy Ever After" where the band comes together to produce one of their beautiful four-part pieces. Any fan of the later albums will definitely enjoy this one as well.

Incredible sound.

I have loved the rescues since I first heard them on Greys Anatomy. This is by far my favorite album and they will always have a special place in my heart. Buy every song they make!! You won't regret it.
