I've been listening to this recording of Figaro since before I had an itunes account, and it is, by far, the best Figaro on record. It's very rare in a Mozart opera that the singers and the orchestra should both perform with such crisp articulation. It tends to be one way or the other: either the orchestra is great and the singers are sloppy, or the singers are great and the orchestra is sloppy. However, this cast and orchestra are both unequalled. Buy it now.
