The themes of redemption, resource, and resolve course through the stories and lessons in Lead Poison. “Introverted” and “Hello!!!!” feel like pages ripped from diaries. He fights back against negative energy on “Egocentric.” “Two 16s” shows his commitment to craft, spitting nimble bars over jazzy beats. Albums like Lead Poison don’t come around often. It’s like Elzhi chose to battle personal demons over sucker MCs. Pull up a chair, this is going to be good.
