After Astronaut He Drops Another

Point to Astronaut is one of my favorite instrumentalist albums, hip hop stripped down, and in the vein of Odd Nosdam but very different from that type of shoeganster sound Telephone brings soundscapes and makes them pallatable, he has a distinct haunting voice that appears and it seems like a consciousness or a vapor trace of human emotion dealing with isolation, war, etc This album features many gems and one rotation, you could probably do your best writing and drawing as I listen to each song, more and more I find new melodies, layers, samples, that coalesce into a fractured beauty, like a beautiful face in a windshield The dark morose atmospeheres are enlightened with intricate melodies that make the song, he has those types of songs where there's that favorite harmony or bit you'll listen a million times for- yet those are as few and far between on this album With some anticon guest appearences including Why? on Dice Raw he shows how his style truly has helped keep the anticon instrumentalist tradition going I highly recommend his previous effort, it is classic, and both these albums have been on mixtapes and rotations for me probably for 2 or 3 years now Highly recommended for those who love intrumentalists like Alias
