Not even close. This is the best performance of this musical
For the newer listeners who may be turned onto this for the first time because of the movie. Please do not go any where further. Purchase this CD in its entirety. If you won't do that for whatever reason, I humbly suggest some of my favorites (and I think probably a lot of peoples favorites):
"I Dreamed A Dream" (When you listen to this version and then hear Susan Boyles version, her version will make you sad...enough said)
"One Day More" - Just epic.
"Who Am I -- The Trial" - Again epic...he is by far the best Val Jean.
"Bring Him Home" -- if you're not in tears or teary-eyed after this, you may want to have those tear-ducts checked.
Again, I'll say, I strongly suggest you purchase the whole CD. There is a newer version, the 25th anniversary edition, its OK...but trust me this version blows it out of the water.
Les Miserables is one of the greatest musical pieces ever written!!
The Best EVER!!!
Wow I'm so glad this version is finally on iTunes!!! These are by far the best singers ever!!! Michael Ball, Lea Salonga, Ruthie Henshall, Colm Wilkinson... And the list goes on!!! I live EVERY song!!! AMAZING!!!!
One of the best.
To me this is probably one of the most amazing not to mention the best musical in the world. The songs are amazing!! The story to put it simply is about love, redemption, and hope. im so happy that they put this on itunes. i am also looking forward to the new movie coming out as well this year. However i recommend seeing the play first as it will have more songs to listen to. My top favorites of the musical are: Look down, Do you hear the people sing?, Red and black, i dreamed a dream,And the thernadier walzt of treachery. i cant wait as well to see hugh jackman playing the role of jean valjean. Should be an amazing movie. To quote the word of Stan Lee: Nuff said.
