Chrisette's Music is Taking a Turn for the Worse

I don't like how Chrisette is beginning to go mainstream with her music. Anyone remember her song, Love is You? That is literally one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. In fact, her first album ranks among some of the best albums I've ever heard. But nowadays, she's tryna ape the contemporary sound (which in my opinion is complete garbage). I don't wanna call her a sell out, but that's essentially what she's doing with her music. She's one of the most talented singers of our generation and she's capable of much more.

Love Chrisette, but...

I think Chrisette Michele is great, a rising star. However, this CD does not match the beauty and power of the first two, which are both great. This CD is okay.

Another release by a breathtaking artist

Finally. I haven't been able to keep up with my favorite artist like I wanted to, so this album snuck up on me. I'm so glad to have found it in time. This time around, Chrisette gets more involved in the songwriting, much like what she achieved on "I Am". I'm happy to see that she's finally found a happy medium between the lyrics of "I Am", and the sort of mainstream-y sound of "Epiphany". It definitely shows. A must have for the Chrisette fan. Keep up the great work, Chrisette.

The jazz-influenced vocalist, born Chrisette Michele Payne in 1982, developed her pipes through singing gospel, first performing for a congregation at age four. God and music were clearly instrumental...
